As the new school year begins, the Almond Blossom Initiative is proud to continue our mission of making education accessible to all students, regardless of financial situation. This year, we continued the tradition of visiting Phillis Wheatley Elementary to donate school supplies such as backpacks, pencils, and notebooks to ensure an easier transition into the new school year.
The Almond Blossom Initiative has been working with local school Phillis Wheatly Elementary for the past four years to achieve its founding mission of minimizing the effects of generational poverty in education.
Thanks to the efforts of the members of the Almond Blossom and our generous community, the organization has been able to continue donating supplies and resources to Phillis Wheatly Elementary School, a school that serves a community in Central Florida profoundly affected by economic hardship. Through collaboration, the Almond Blossom Initiative strives to address challenges posed by generational poverty.
Access to education is a fundamental right, and the inability to purchase school supplies should not bar a student from learning. The Almond Blossom Initiative is grateful for the commitment of our members and community, and is honored to provide these resources and offer continued support to these students.
