As school comes back into session, Almond Blossom is here to help kickstart our annual Back-To-School Drive. After months of preparation through the summer, the 2026 Back-To-School Drive was amazing at its job, providing for Phillis Wheatly Elementary.
The Drive was able to raise over 330+ items in donations, with the items grouped in separate backpacks to be received.
Our initiative has been working with Phillis Wheatly Elementary for the past 5 years to achieve its foundational goal of minimizing the effects of generational poverty in education.
Thanks to all of the members of the Almond Blossom Initiative and the generous community who've donated to make this drive happen, the organization has been able to put in the effort to make sure supplies and resources are accessible to Phillis Wheatly Elementary School. The school itself serves a community that has been struck by the destitute nature of economic hardship; thus, through our collaboration, the Almond Blossom Initiative strives to continue to mitigate the challenges posed by generational poverty.
Our organization believes that accessible practices for education are not only a fundamental right for the community, but something that must be unconditionally upheld. A lack of supplies should not stop students from reaching their full academic potential, so we are eternally grateful for the commitment of both our donors and members to provide these resources to the students.
