Due to many families being cut off from SNAP benefits from the government, this year, Apopka New Hope Missionary Baptist Church needed to ensure it had enough food for its community. As most schools are also off for Thanksgiving Break, more families are relying on the church for help. In order to aid them, our club held our first Thanksgiving drive to help them to stock their food pantry.Â
Originally initiated by Harmony 123, the Almond Blossom Initiative partnered with several organizations to donate a large variety of non-perishable food and other essential items. We are truly grateful to be able to support our community during difficult times, and we hope these donations can bring comfort to families in need.
Pastor Mr. Smith thanked our club and donors in a heartfelt speech.
